Structured Reviews
Structured reviews allow you to extract and organize data from multiple documents into a simple, tabular format. This is perfect for analyzing contracts, tracking obligations, or summarizing communication threads across your workspace.
Creating a Structured Review
Section titled “Creating a Structured Review”To get started with a structured analysis:
- Navigate to your workspace.
- Select Structured Reviews from the left navigation menu.
- Click New structured review.
You can choose to start from scratch for a custom analysis, or use one of the pre-defined templates for a batch analysis.
Using Templates
Section titled “Using Templates”Templates provide pre-configured columns and AI extraction prompts tailored for specific scenarios. Some of the available templates include:
- Correspondence & Communications Review: Summarizes emails, letters, and meeting minutes to spot issues, instructions, and follow-ups.
- Notice & Time Bar Review: Detects contractual notices, claim alerts, time bars, and required next steps.
- Contract Obligations Overview: Analyzes signed agreements to compile key obligations and requirements.
- Risk & Opportunity Document Review: Identifies contractual risks, project opportunities, and corresponding impacts.
Selecting a template automatically populates the required columns for you. You can always add to or adjust these later.
Adding Documents and Columns
Section titled “Adding Documents and Columns”A structured review consists of two main axes: Documents (the sources) and Columns (the data to extract).
- Click Add documents to select the files from your workspace that you want to analyze.
- Click Add columns to define what information to look for in each document.
When adding a column, you can define it as:
- Manual Input: A simple column where you can type your own findings.
- AI Extraction: A column powered by an AI prompt. You provide the prompt (e.g., “What is the notice period mentioned in this document?”), and Contradic AI will extract the corresponding information from the documents.
Running the Review
Section titled “Running the Review”Once you have added at least one document and one AI extraction column, you can process the analysis.
- Click Run review.
- The system will process your documents. You can track the status as it changes from Processing to Completed.
- Review the extracted data directly in the table.
If an extraction fails, you will see an error tooltip. You can always choose to rerun the analysis later.
Exporting Your Results
Section titled “Exporting Your Results”After the review is complete, you can download the results for further processing outside the platform. Simply click Export to CSV to save the tabular data directly to your computer.
