Understand the workspace dashboard
The workspace dashboard is the first page you see when you open a workspace. It summarizes document coverage and provides shortcuts to the next useful action.
Start an empty workspace
Section titled “Start an empty workspace”Before documents are imported, the dashboard displays a Get started checklist:
- Import opens the document import window.
- Chat opens the workspace AI chat.
- New note opens workspace notes.
- Settings opens the workspace configuration.
- All views opens the views list.
The Import and Chat shortcuts also remain available at the top of a populated dashboard.
Check document coverage
Section titled “Check document coverage”The Overview section contains two indicators:
- Documents shows the total number of documents in the workspace, including attachments. When attachments are present, their count appears below the total. Select the card to open the complete Documents list.
- Dated shows the percentage of documents with a usable date. Contradic uses the email date when available and otherwise uses the issue date. If documents are undated, select the undated count to open a filtered Documents list.
Review types and issue activity
Section titled “Review types and issue activity”Documents by type shows how imported documents are distributed across AI-assigned document types. Untyped means the type was uncertain or missing. Select a type in the legend to open the matching Documents list; select Untyped to review documents without a type.
Issue activity groups dated documents by month. It uses the same email-date-first rule as the Dated indicator. Treat this chart as a directional overview, not as a contract chronology. The chart does not open a filtered list.
Open recent notifications
Section titled “Open recent notifications”The Notifications section lists the latest documents classified as Notifications. Each row shows its effective date when available and opens the document details panel when selected.
This list does not detect every formal notice: relevant documents can still be classified as Correspondence or remain untyped.
Retry a dashboard load
Section titled “Retry a dashboard load”If the documentary overview cannot load, select Retry. This reloads the dashboard data without changing workspace content.
