Understand accounts and workspaces

An account is the shared space for your organization in Contradic. It holds the plan, AI credits, and the list of people who can belong to the organization. Think of it as the business and administration level.

A workspace is where a project or team organizes its work. Each workspace has its own documents, notes, views, folders, tags, settings, and access list. One account can contain several workspaces, keeping separate projects or work streams apart.

What belongs to the account

• The plan, seats, and AI credit balance
• The people invited to the organization
• Account roles and account-wide responsibilities

What belongs to a workspace

• The members allowed to open that workspace
• The workspace name, description, and settings
• Its documents, notes, views, folders, and tags

When you switch workspaces, you remain in the same account. The plan and account member list stay the same, while the content and workspace access can change.
